Good afternoon everybody, I have recently obtained some uniform books detailing the Crimean conflict. Many were recommended to me by fellow members in a recent post. Thank you again for the help.

Today’s query is, despite looking around the usual suspects (at least in the U.K.) El Greco, Historex and so on as well as EBay, there does not seem to be a currently produced model of a mounted 17th.Lancer in 54mm scale. Is this correct? There seems to be lots of dismounted ones and the odd Scots Grey figure. Can anybody help?

As usual, thank you in advance.

Cheers,

Paul

Paul, you are 100% correct. It's a subject that has slipped through the net. If there was one, it'll be very old and likely rubbish by today's high standards. As always, I stand to be corrected, but I'm not aware of one.

We have the storming the Great Redan set which is 75mm in size. Our Charge of the Light Brigade which is 90mm is currently out of stock

Does it have to be 54mm? If not Carl Reid does a lovely one at 120mm, I think Gordon at RDG does 75mm ones.

Thank you to all who answered my query. 54mm scale was chosen because I have a number of existing figures in that scale from the Crimean period. It looks like the larger scale or nothing! Thank you for the links. I agree, the Carl Reid figures look very good indeed, I might be tempted...
Have a good weekend everybody. Cheers,
Paul
