Hello, the figure is looking good so far. I think you need to add some dust from the desert in the bottom of the tunic and cape to capture more realism. I'm guess you will do it at the end of the paintwork...

Hi Dimitrios,

you're doing a very good job, with few traces of dust as suggested by Ernet your your work should be perfect.

Ciao,

Jerry

Hi Dimitrios
Nice Job Paint ........ it is looked at little I polish but sure between little of time a lot is reduced this effect. :)

SALUTE MAB :)

Ernest,Jerry,Maurizio, xenofon thank you for your comments on the subject. As far as the dirt i am planning to put some at the and of the painting to get a more homogenous effect. My problem with this figure is this black cape wich with the oils seems to glaze like it is for leather.Any ideas how to make it less glossy?

Roc first of all thanks for the tip.Secondly i have HUMBROL matt cote.Does it has the same effect as TESTOR dullcoat?Cause i ve used it before and though it supresses some of the shinning i think it tends to shine a bit itself. And thirdly how do you think i should work with oilcolors like black and blue to avoid this annoying glazing?

The best way to avoid the sheen is to place figure in the oven at a wam temperature -of 140 degrees over night.
As far as humbrol matt goes, I have never used it, but I have used Testors matt and I assure you it works well.

Cheers
Roc. :)
