Hi guys . Lately i am painting really slower due to reduced and restricted time . But thats not bad essentially .

In October a lovely figure will be released by Romeo Models.

This will be a superb Crusader sculpted by talented Gianni La Rocca (and definately one of my favorites) and painted by specialist Danillo Cartacci (another favorite of mine)

This is it

As i had the luck to get an early copy for review purposes, i really could not get my hands of it . I had to paint it !

But as with the Jula Crusader of Pegaso , i know it will be in many versions on exhibition tables , so i decided to do it a little bit different . To make a small conversion , to be a bit different

So i tested something like that

crupre3.jpg

added a falcon , resculpted part of the hand, and the rear part of the hanging cloth

Then of course i had to advace the base !!!!

So i tried something like that

And then ..i started to paint

crupre1.jpg

That was it . It took me a month more or less but i enjoyed every single second of this one . must be the most pleasing miniature i have painted so far

I let the pictures talk , and once again i shooted a lot as you ask for them , so please be patient .

All comments welcome

Superb work my friend Costas. Excellent conversion and paintjob. I'm sure that this Romeo release will be in lots of Show tables.

Costas, very good convertion. I like the touch you added with the falcon.

Keep up the good work and keep those brushes wet.

Well done Costas

Bravo Costas

That is one fine figure - well painted. The conversion works really well.

Is the falcon from the 90mm Swabia figure??

Well done once again

Ciao
Franco

Just a simple swap and BANG ON....you have a single figure vignette :D

As Stephen remarked, the interaction between soldier and Frederick's falcon is so.....so natural......BRAVOOOOOOOOOO :)
