Just about finished this fella,a wee bit more weathering on the shield and that should be it.I deliberated left the obligatory white cross off the front of his tunic,as i found it detracted from the look i was after.

I have this piece in my grey army and your rendition is very inspiring! With your permission I'll use your work as reference!
Just a suggestion on the photography. Allow more space between the fig and the backdrop (aprox. 10"). This will keep the backdrop out of focus and will help a lot cancelling the shadows on the backdrop. Another cool and simple thing to do is to add a backdrop light in the lower part (left, right corner or center - it doesn't matter). Is just and idea.

Marvelous brushwork Brian, on this otherwise drab figure. He truly looks the part(y)!
