Hi everybody,
Yesterday, I started reading H.P. Lovecraft's Myth Of Cthulhu, which i never read (shame on me, I know...). I was looking for pics of the beast when I came across 3Demonic sculpts, particularly this bust which I found really cool. I gave it a thought for one minute, then went to Detour Studios' website, distributors of the bust. Unfortunately, being almost 50 cm high and in resin, transport costs would add to the already pricey model (in my opinon, though). I was amazed by the representation of the creature and fueled by Metallica's excellent "The Call Of Cthulhu", I started sculpting my own sample, much modest in size (9 cm high without the working base). Anyway, here are some pics
Of course, every design credits go to the fellas at www.3Demonic.com, my only inspiration and reference
Sculpting and texture techniques come from Smellybug's excellent tutorial
Cheers!
Patrick
