Hi everyone. It's been a long time.
Just wondering, I am currently in the process of repainting my 120 mms Kirin Culloden highlander. I may be a little slow in this but I have just noticed the headware on this figure and many other depictions of this theme is a blue beret with a white bow which looks like a cross. I can't help but notice this is virtually identical to the Scottish Saltire flag. Does anyone know if this is just a coincidence or is it on purpose? I've scoured the internet to no avail. This just doesn't seem to be mentioned, so I thought If anyone would know it be you lot. Can anyone help please? I Look forward to a reply.
All the best Jazz

"The Jacobites distinguished themselves during the '45 Rebellion with white cockades, folded ribbons sewn onto their hats, to resemble a white rose, one of the symbols of the exiled Stuarts...."(y)

The Saltire a representation of the cross on to which St Andrew met his end.
Crucificion?

Hi guys, thanks for the info. I still think its strange they used similar symbols and colouring as the saltire.
Valient, I remember well the shows you organised in Stoke. Good days.
Housecarl, I'm still grateful for the WW1 cap you made for my bust of my great uncle some years back.
All the best, guys.

Hi Nap,
nice to hear from you. Hope you're keeping well.
Yes, I like to have a go at a figure of two but not as much as I used to. Apart from the highlander I have recently made a diarama of a Victorian street using mainly Phoenix figures. I will have to put a picture or two on the completed figures forum. And the highlander when it's done.
while I am here do you know if any way to remove any sort of paint from a plastic car kit. I have a Lamborghini countache (wish it was real) that I have painted a couple of times and i would like to repaint it again. Anything you know of that don't melt the plastic would help.
hope that Mrs Nap is well. Give her our best.
