Hi everybody,

This gonna be "Biggest" project (in many ways:)) for me. 1/6 (300mm) US 29th infantry Division, sculpted by John Rosengrant.

Comparing its size with 1/32(54mm), 1/24(75mm), 1/16(120mm), and 1/9(200mm).

And...I just started painting the face. still foundation.
I'm working on several projects at the same time now so I think it's going to take many days and hours to finish this big guy.

Where can you get this figure from?

Go to e-bay and I'm sure that you can find it for sale.

Yes, as Chris said, the guy called "mudhens66" at eBay owns the master and he casts and sells it. Contact him about availability.

I will keep updating the progress.

Hi Kaz,

You're very brave to take on such a massive figure but I'm sure the final result will be stunning. The level of detail in these large scale figures means you can't take any short cuts - everything is visible. Hope you don't go crazy trying to paint it all.

Someday if I eat my wheaties and say my prayers, I 'll be able to paint a face half as good as you did on this figure. Fantastic! It does look like a real person.

Dang skippy, I love it. Dang this guys is big. I'm seriously looking at geting this one.

Cheers, Ski.

P.S. Any chance you could post a link Kaz? I'm not finding it.

Great start. I must admit I haven't seen this one before... I love Rosengrant style, his figures are fully of life.

BTW, how is such a large and heavy figure supposed to stand just on the tips of his right toes?

Good question, Mario, here's how.

I drilled the diameter of 5mm deep hole and stick 5mm brass pipe. I wil replace the one in the toe with the longer one later, but even this length it can stand with no problem as long as you put it on base wood wide spread to the front.
