This bloke looks excellent. Nice pose, good dynamics and a classy paint job. Only four more to go! It's going to be quite some group when its all together. Watching with interest.
Hey,Guy,the new camera really does your figure justice,DO USE IT from now on,won't you? As for Boston,I was so hoping to meet-up with you then . Ah well, perhaps next time then. Keep up the GREAT painting and post more soon. Cheers!
Kenneth
Thanks John and Stephen..........I appreciate your feedback. I cleaned up 2 more Pirates yesterday and will peg them for spray priming today. That will leave one more to go.
I've had a few minutes every once in awhile and have gotten this far on the second pirate. This is the pirate that is cast into the base with another pirate standing by his head. The white trousers will get stripes running down each leg.
Geeez Guy, for someone who claims to be "the best known average painter", this is certianly shaping up to be one fantastic looking dio/vignette. Seriously. It's looking really good. Nice how all the colors on the different color all compliment one another. If you don't have one already, see if Greg can pry some of that money from you with a nice base. Keep taking your time with this. Whatever pace your working on......it's working .
Thanks for the kind words Jim. I have an 8 inch Ken Thomas round that I was going to use but have it on my shopping list to see what Greg has too. I usually use the large rounds for 90 and 120mm mounted.
Very nice Guy! Boy, the pirate that's calling out was definitely hit a couple of times with an ugly stick. The colors on the clothing look authentic and compliment the deep tans. Also I like the treasure chest. Looking forward to more figures.
