Martin Bormann reappears!

On December 28, 1972, the mortal remains of Martin Bormann…

...at the time of National Socialism, the head of the party chancellery of the NSDAP with the powers of a Reich minister, can be identified without a doubt at Berlin.

After his escape from the so-called Führerbunker under the garden of the old Reich Chancellery at the beginning of May 1945, Bormann was presumed missing.

He was indicted in absentia at the Nuremberg Trial of the Major War Criminals as one of 24 people, and on October 1, 1946 found guilty on two out of three counts and sentenced to death by hanging.

For decades, the rumor persisted that Bormann had managed to escape abroad.

According to the Reich Youth Leader Artur Axmann and his adjutant Günter Weltzin, Bormann and Hitler's surgeon Dr. Ludwig Stumpfegger

...but killed himself on May 2, 1945 with poison capsules containing Zynkali near the Lehrter train station on Invalidenstrasse when her escape was about to fail.

Both bodies were discovered in 1972 during construction work in Berlin and unequivocally assigned in 1998 using DNA analysis.

Here Borman's skull (right), next to it Stumpfegger's...:

The SS "doctor" Stumpfegger went down ingloriously in history when he helped murder the children of the Goebbels couple with hydrocyanic acid...:

Only Harald Quant, the eldest son from a previous marriage of Magda Goebbels (in uniform in the photo above), was spared, who had been captured by the US as a paratrooper in Italy.
