That’s what hobbies are for, right, to shamelessly indulge in weaknesses like perfectionism without minding schedule or whatever other commitments to anyone….very unlike the jobs we are paid for!

Although I do like to finish stuff at some point…!

And again I underestimated the task ahead…

This is about 3 to 4 hours in:

The time is in getting the right paint dilution to get about 10 tiles per brush rinse and in the complexity of the pattern. It feels like painting a mix of tartan and SS camouflage! Regular, but not perfectly.

Here’s another in progress shot that shows how I use masking tape to fix the main lines of the pattern. Once that is done, the rest is mindlessly doing the tiles.

Seems I have quite a few hours ahead of me…

Will keep you posted!
