Hi All,
Finally managed to get up see Pete last weekend for the bases I ordered. Had a great hour or two with Pete some good laughs and a good cuppa.

A good time at the bench, I have now made the stone floor and secured the façade in place. I have also finished the bottom half of thrusting figure, will start to work more on the torso tomorrow.
cheers
Richie

Hi Richie

Certainly a very productive tine at the bench , the base looks great agree with Malc ref the hand ...adds to the story nicely

Nice thrusting as well

Look forward to seeing more from you on this

Happy benchtime

Hi Malc,
Thank you, I did think about splitting the door in places and a spear or two coming through, but I think one arm is enough to contribute to the story.

Richie

Hi Kev,
Thank you, lots more to come.

Hi All,
Had a day off today so I've moved this on a bit more. The first figure thrusting has had the top half completed to about 90%. I have cut back the figure next to him somewhat and got the hands positioned to the Martini also added the foreign service helmet. The figure against the wall has also had the hand positions done to the Martini Henry. Still a lot to do on these but moving in the right direction. Tomorrow I will start over sculpting the figures now I have a new supply of milliput.
cheers

Hi Keith
How's things mate, thank you. I must really praise Carl for animation and facial expressions, having those two for this project has made it so much more easy.

This is coming along nicely mate, very dynamic scene with the 3 figures in close proximity.

Hospital building looks nicely done also.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve,
Thank you. Hope you, Sharone and the family are all well. The façade come out quite good but it's exhausted my balsa wood supply. I need to order some more as this might get extended in the future;).

Lucky I found my Martini Henry's, you'll be getting an order before too long mate so I can replenish my stock. I have a few other projects in mind.
cheers
Richie

Hi All,
Firstly a massive thank you to Steve Readdie & Gordon Mitchell just two of my very good friends for without them producing their wonderful stuff this project may never have come to fruition.

Sorry for the lack of updates on this one, but I've been beavering away in the background. Everything is done although it's held together with blue tack, some final clean up needed and polishing needed but I have run out of wet and dry.
Apologies for the awful photo's, but you get the gist of it. The two outer figures have 5 button O.R. tunics and the centre figure in shirt order.
cheers
Richie

Hi John,
Thank you mate, might have a word with my club mate Paul he's great with fibre optics and when I get a final assembly and painting done. I might try to simulate fire in the thatch using fibre optics.
cheers
Richie

Thats a great idea, I would like to see how that looks, it should give a very haunting look, as mentioned before, similar to Shep Payne's diorama.

John

Looking really interesting, looking forward to seeing it polished as you say.

Stanley Bakers production Zulu is still one of my favourite films, and as for Nigel Green's colour sergeant Bourne.... need I say more.
