Hello people,

Got a little "bogged-down" with the dragon slayer figure, but thought I'd post some pics of it as far as I've got (in the hopes that i might get the inspiration back to do some more work! )

These pics are a lot clearer than the old "hold it over the scanner" method, so you should be able to see my mistakes a lot easier (& therefore give me some hints on what I need to do to correct them ;) )

Ignore the arms though, these are not going to be part of the finished fig (whenever that day might come) as I know they're a disgrace!!

Cheers

Hi!

Nice to see this project again. I was a little concerned for you, there.

Id say it looks promising but his left foot seems a bit small. This both compared to the other foot and anatomical proportions. Perhaps it could point a little bit more forward but that could be the angle that playing tricks upon me.

Hey Simon, what happened .... you disappeared for a bit ....

Figure is looking good so far (even if it still reminds me of Lemmy ), my only critique is that the ears look a liitle overlarge for the head, but that's just an opinion.

Have fun with the rest.

Hello Chaps,

Uruk-Hai:

Yep you're right about the foot (though the perspective in the second pic makes it look even smaller than it really is!) It's one of the things that's been bothering me.

Richard:

Yeah, the pre christmas rush at work got me I'm afraid (that & a bout of flu!)
The ears, yes, if you remember way back though, these are the third attempt & I decided not to mess any further ('cos they're gonna be covered with hair!) and just try to do a better job next time!

Guy:

Don't do yourself down to quickly chap! you've still been in the game long enough to know what's wrong with a figure, even if your own sculpting hasn't turned out the way you wanted (how is your bust coming on BTW?)

Oh yeah, I only just managed to dig that Celtic art book out of the "Garage of Doom" yesterday, did you still want the scans for your shield? if so I'll scan what I think might be useful for you & post tomorrow!

Cheers

Hey Simon,
The attempt at a bust (I refer to as Daffy Duck bust) is hidden deep in the archives here after 3 of the most frustrating days in the hobby. I have alot of Celts I am doing and the scans would be appreciated. I will email you my addy if you would like to just email me.
