When this was released by Atelier a few months ago, I thought one day I will paint it.
Lucky me had this for a Christmas, from my good lady wife.
So here we go, I have a few references and trawling the internet didn't help. Some show the belt and sword slings as red with gold edging or belt, sword slings in black leather with gold edging. This may well be a few hours with all the gold oak leaf lace.
Shots of the figurine cleaned up and he has now been undercoated, ready for the off.

This looks very nice bob,I painted the 54mm Le Cimier version many years ago,I think it looks better in 75mm though,I'll look forward to seeing this one develop (y)

See....now Bob.

Your missus knew you should get back to these

She'll keep you on the straight and narrow.

I can feel a riot of Blues and Golds coming together here.

Enjoy mate.

Paul.

He looks really good Bob.One for the list.
As for the belt and slings. As you say, references vary and he probably had both and more so I don't think you can go wrong.

Horse artillery of the Guard-one of my favourite uniforms.

Thanks Paul, I will keep the faith and hope I do justice to this one.
Cheers

Hey Bob,do you have a 75mm cannon wheel knocking about,he would look good next to that, commanded the old guard artillery at Waterloo, decapitated that day as well

Thanks for that Smudger, I am sure there must be one somewhere. If not, I will put a canon ball next to him. He was killed by one when meeting Napoleon.
Thanks mate.

You may have seen this, but here's a good reference

Really nice figure. Hadn't seen this one before...

Looking forward to your take on it... get painting but try not to drip snot on it, it will ruin the finish :depressed:

Cheer's Colin, yep not a good idea as yet. Still, I can gather some details on uniform or look at the list of new figures. I promise not to drool too much.
