Sorry for the late reply mate, firstly a huge congratulations to you both
. I hope you and your Roll Call bust are very happy...oops I'm mean you and your good lady have a great day mate and you are never too old .
The finished piece primed up is just great mate, I really like what you have achieved and I know how much you have put into this. It is unique and full of character and I can't wait to see him come to life with some colour.

Fear not all will be well mate , no rings not a problem ...Magi-sculpt is the answer ...primed,painted and varnished ...there you go .

Late on this one. Congrats to you Keith. Hope your life changing event turns out life enhancing for both of you. If you are going to use magic sculpt rings, really show off and paint them NMM.
BTW - your finished bust is terrific....everything a bust should be.....and it may please you that the first thing I looked at on opening this was how well his hands are done.

Praise indeed from a scuplptor who's work I aspire to. I'm very pleased that you commented on the hands, they are a weakness that I need to improve on by loads of practice.
As for NMM painted MS rings.....I just wish that I had thought of it before I left home for the UK. Would have saved me a packet.

Hello Guys,
Many thanks for such encouraging comments. It is always good to hear from the members at pF, this is the best way for me to meter how I am doing with my sculpting and painting efforts to achieve something that looks a little like a figure.
I’m looking forward to the next phases to complete the face so that work on the uniform and head gear can be started.

Thanks again for your help with the research for this figure, you can see that the blue collar base cote on the greatcoat is laid down. I think that it will add a bit more interest to the figure.
