Has anyone got a recommendation for a glass display cabinet with lighting. I'm in the process of finishing work decor and want to put my figures on display for the clients to see before I attack/treat them!:)

David

WARNING!!!!! David, be very careful when you assemble that display case! The cross beams that hold the shelves need to be facing the inside of the case and not the outside. It will assemble either way, but if they are on the outside the shelves will not be secure. I saw what can happen on massivevoodoo.

You can see from the picture the cross beams are on the outside of the vertical bars. As long as you make sure they are on the inside it should be fine.

How about this;

I think you need to add your own lighting though.

Good choice. Great price ! I own several of these in black, the lights that go on the top inside are sold separately, usually in another part of the store.
Lots of glass so expensive and risky to ship . Definitely worth even a long drive after calling to check stock, Get a few since they are not all that large.

David I'm sure Argos have one too, has wood effect corner pillars but glass shelves of course with lighting. I don't have one myself but have considered it for the hobby room.
Not sure if its all dancing and singing quality but if your happy without paying a fortune and its not going up against your favourite living room furniture I'm sure it would be fine.

David, had a look at this early today. The biggest problem is the fixed shelf height and that there is no scope for adding additional shelves, which is a bit of a design flaw in what is otherwise a very decent bargain.
I'd definitely 'bed' the shelves onto the supports with something like blu tac. Nice idea and a bit of a change from the ubiquitous fish tank.
Cheers

I've got two of these cabinets from Ikea and I thoroughly recommend them as long as they are put together correctly. You should'nt need to use blu tack as there are small latex rubber pieces that fit over the bars where they sit to hold the glass still. To get more figures inside I have put a box on each shelf and covered them with fabric so that two levels can be utilised on each shelf. Please see the two photos to see what I mean.
