Does anyone know this figure?

I have seen this on Ebay recently, I think it is a recast, does anyone know who made it and exactly what the figure is, apart from assuming that it is a Prussian L andwehr I'm in the dark.

Hi Keith my first thought was a Tradition figure but don't think so.

I don't think it's anything sold through Tradition's catalog, either. I agree that it depicts a Prussian Landwehrmann, a Uhlan, to be more precise, though I'm not as up on Napoleonic uniforms. Do you know what size/scale the figure is? My thought is one of the makers like Andrea, Pegaso, etc.

Something else that occurs to me, along the lines of your suspicion, Keith, that it's a Russian copy of someone else's figure. I see a lot of castings on eBay, sold by various Russian vendors, that are copies of figures by Andrea, Pegaso, etc. Do you recall anything about the seller?

You should find it on the Sieland or Berliner Zinnfiguren sites.
