John, from what I can see from the pictures, you have done a good job, my complinents.

Who is the manufacturer?

Cheers
Roc. :)

Hi Roc
Thanks for your thoughts the figure is a Tercio figure from Italy in 90mm scale I have used a bit of discretion with the colours but I like it

Hi John
Great job, is the tree part of the lit, if not, it is very cleverly done to get him leaning on it just so and the bow and quiver is a nice touch.

Hi Clinton
No, the tree and foliage are "Home built items" the trees are from an old Rhoderdendron bush that grows in our garden. The branches are all nobbly and rough which looks like proper scale trees. With the kit you get metal trees to form a kind of fence, but I didnt like it
The bow and quiver are all part of the kit
Thanks again
Cheers

John, I Have this guy on my list. The EMI Terico figures look good in pics, you say you had some hedeaches, what were some of the pitfalls? I think you did a great job with this guy for sure. He turned out very nicely. I agree with the tree, it looks much better than the fence shown on the box art! Thanks for sharing!

Hi Jay
The main pitfall was getting him to lean on the tree! I had to build up several branches until I was satisfied with the positioning and then also to rest the raised foot on something, I choose a log
Also being as the cloak is a separate item I had to make sure that there was enough room at the back of the trees to incorporate it when I finally assembled the complete figure
Apart from that it was a very enjoyable project
I suppose these little challenges are what makes the hobby so enjoyable!

Hi Jay

Just a thought. This is the first time I have built a Tercio kit and The fitting of the parts were very good and assembly was without any major problems
Hope this helps

John thats a really nice job . Its a definately demanding figure, heavily loaded and a "heavy" piece tohandle as i remember !!

You did it quite in justice my friend . Nice work

John,
thanks for the info. I don't own any of these figs and I'm glad to hear their quality is good. Probably helped me decide to get one and try it out! Thanks again,
