Hey Ski that tree work is coming along nicely, seems you have hit on a good idea with this one which will produce some good results. It is making me think I need to look at my trees again for my diorama and try this method for a better result.
Going to see if I can locate some Caspia in the UK.
Cheers Bro

It’s Taking Shape
This is working decent enough to continue building up the branches with the Caspia clusters. Before I get too carried away I need to finish painting all the clusters in the base green tone, add highlights, and add a touch of yellow to the mix to magnify the upper highlights.
Working these clusters is so much more enjoyable than what I had going before. The comparison just isn’t there. What I am doing is making sure I don’t get carried away with any stems that are too long. This would blow the whole appearance out of whack.
I’ve been using almost all of the little portions and even some tiny starter shoots to fill in at the branches where the stems start, the fixation points. So far this is working very well and I’m liking what I see. I’ll keep at it until I’ve reached the fullness I’m looking for. I’ll need to place this up against the shed a few times to make sure my grown directions are correct, but momentum is picking up, and that’s what I want to see.
More to follow soon and thanks for watchin. Cheers, Ski.
P.S. Simon, you are correct, the minor green tones landing on the stems help the new growth appearance very well. No need to brown them out at all.
Thanks, Steve! Those are looking really good now Ski, nice one Steve
Thanks, Kevin. Should I leave a rake in the shed???, it might be appropriate for this dio, lol.Hi Ski Great to see the gardening is showing results Nap
Thank you, Simon. Funny you mention bonsai trees, cause some people replicate them using Caspia. This was just a lucky snag at the local craft store, and boy howdy, am I glad I did snag it years ago. Ya just never know what you'll find handy. That is really coming together well Steve, never heard of Caspia before but it's worth remembering for future reference. It has a density that I doubt would be achievable with individual leave, guess the only other alternative would be to grow a bonsai tree. It would be quicker than the individual leaves! Cheers Simon
Thanks, Stevo. Check that link Steve just put up, looks like that will work, too. The clusters are not as tight as mine, which tells me regional growth issues come into play. I'm sure there's some of this stuff all over and we've just never paid it much attention. Now you're going to see it "everywhere", just like red cars, right? HA!Hey Ski that tree work is coming along nicely, seems you have hit on a good idea with this one which will produce some good results. Thanks, Brother Malc! Behave, who's behavin? If we behaved Kevin wouldn't have a job and he'd be totally bored, so we gotta keep him on his toes, HA!Oh well, I'd better behave or I'll be on detention with Nap. So I won't say it's looking treemendous. It's going to look absolutely stunning, reward for all the hard work and thought you're putting into this. Malc
Hi Ski
Definately leave the rake ...lol
Think we will have to separate young Malc from the rest of the class .....naughty lad ......LOL
Keep planting those tree leaves
Looking forward to seeing more

Now that made me spit my coffee!....the only other alternative would be to grow a bonsai tree.
Yall are killin me with these hilarious comments, I love it! And thanks, Nigel, my coffee just came out my nose, but we won't dwell on that Yes, I'm pretty giddy this is working and I'm having fun on this dio again. I will pay closer attention to what I want in the end so as not to go past the ability to actually recreate in scale. Now that made me spit my coffee!
