Bit more progress, had a good run on him today. Started the highlighting and shading but as I get closer to completing this, I feel a bit sad that it will soon be over, such a pleasure to paint.

Now the rest is coming along well ...good variation in the colours

Not so much painting quick Kev, I just have more hours free to do it some days lol. I love retirement, apart from the lower income of course.
No, not got anything other than loads of 35mm figures to do. That Old Gnome does look nice, bit like what I see in the mirror each morning......

You won't be dissapointed the bust is nice you could leave off the hand of course ...the cricket .....too many legs for me but it's a great kit .

Thanks Kev, you don’t have to count the stumps but that still leaves two which is too many for you lol. The bust looks really nice and I quite like the abstract idea of the ethereal hand. Not seen one painted up yet though. Happy times indeed.

For sunday lunch I had - Filet mignon in Sauce Bearnaise with Custard for desert , all sat next to the latrine ! 
For the uninitiated in the ways of Baldrick and his cooking ( Filet mignon in Sauce Bearnaise - Dog Turds covered in Glue. Custard - Cat Sick, think you could also get spotted dick, which was cat sick with rabbit droppings) LOL

Lol, very tasty........ Just trying to fit glasses. Wonder if I took him into specsavers they would do it for me ;-)

Right, the glasses are glazed and fixed on, I can breath again now....... let it all fully dry out overnight and then it’s just a few touch ups prior to calling it finished. What a stunning piece it has been to work on, a real pleasure to paint.

I do wish Rob had one some more from the series ...would have loved to see General Melchet in his mess dress ...with that great moustache .....Bah!!! .....
Or maybe a double piece with Captain Darling peeking round his shoulder ....
