Hi to All,

I would like to share with you my new figure that is one of the few Fantasy that I have purchased as I like it very much and it is a collectors’ piece that you must have and paint. I am talking about the first release of the new Greek company of Michael Kontraros, Michael Kontraros Collectibles (www.mkontraros.com) , The Elf Dragon Prince. I have heard the plans of Michael but I could not imagine that the whole concept and the final product will be such of a high standard! Congratulations Michael and Good Luck with your New Company! So what we have:

Title: Elf Dragon Prince
Scale: 1/20
Size: 90mm
Pieces: 7
Sculptor: Michael Kontraros
Box Art: Chris Panagiotou
For Orders and more Information: www.mkontraros.com

The kit comes in a metal box. The metal box of the kit is brilliant and keeps very safe the parts of the vignette. I say vignette because as you can see from the photos the kit includes, two characters (the Elf and the dragon) and a high quality engraved scenery. You will find also an illustration card based on the box art (by G. Dimitriou). The diameter of the base is 10cm and has 2cm thickness. The impressive engraved detail of the floor gives endless coloring potentials so everyone can make a unique base. From what I know the complicated pattern was first designed in a computer program, then became a photo – etched part and then was fitted on the already sculpted base that has an underground detail also! The sculpting of the Elf is really amazing as also the dragon. I tried to find the molding lines or something that I must clean. I found NOTHING AT ALL!!! You can go direct for painting!! The casting is so clean and the detail so clear! The highly quality resin will help the painter a lot as the paint will adhere on the surface very good.
The Box Art has been painted by the famous and very talented artist Chris Panagiotou. As I like the choice of the colors’ selection I will paint this version as it is. But as I have already said the painting selections are endless! For sure this kit will be very popular among the fantasy fans but also among the others because everyone will want to paint this goody!
I am attaching photos to have a personal evaluation.
I hope that you will find this review useful.

The sculpt and casting (apart from the well known artistic level of Chris' painting skills) are among the best in the market. The base alone is a work of art. Michael thinks of every little detail that (he) puts in there and that shows. Truly a masterpiece and can't wait to see what's next and of course to start painting mine!.

Wow!!!!! This is a wonderful Sculpt. Truly amazing work. Beautiful figure. Clean and smooth processing, exquisitely wrought details, just great. Congratulations to sculptor.

This is a great figure. I got one through their indiegogo campaign and I can confirm the kit is pretty much flawless. Almost no clean up needed.

Just got one from Mrs E as a christmas gift. It is a beautiful figure, even unpainted. There's a little bit of damage to some bits though but nothing to serious; even a rank amateur like me will probably be able to sort it out with some superglue and some filler (the tin's been through the wars by the look of things, it was probably used as the match ball at my local sorting office annual Christmas football match).

I think I might have to leave it for a bit though as I don't think my skill matches the quality of the sculpt at present. I'm a little bit anxious that I'll ruin it.

Just go for it and have fun!
