I started this guy today. I have to thank Tommi for posting him in the wanting to buy post he placed, I had never seen this figure before and instantly thought it was a very nice piece, great pose and lots of attitude. I kept returning to the thread and admiring the piece so after about two weeks and a lot of hunting I found him. I don't paint many 54mm figures and this one is a tiny bit smaller so I'm struggling a bit. Im using all acrylics, with the face I'm having a hard time getting a balance between lots of contrast because of the smaller size of the figure and trying to keep him looking young. So I think I've just about got there but any advice would be helpful. I tried to take some decent pics to show but the up close ones went a little blurry sorry.

Nice start on a cracking figure. This is one that I had been looking to find for a while now and was sent to me by my good friend Steve Walker, lots of beers coming his way at Euro show in September.

Steve I had a look at yours it's a fantastic piece if mine turns out half as good I'll be more than happy.

I have a question that someone may be able to help with, he has chevrons all the way up his arm in what appears to be pairs with a thin gap between. On all the figures I've seen done this thin gap between them seems to be red. So it looks like it goes white chevron, thin red line, white chevron, is that correct?

Here is today's work I've toned down the yellow it looked to gold. Did a little more work on the white of the pants and put the white on the tunic.
