Unusual subject, wonderful bust!

I've just done a search for "Garibaldi Guard" and it came up with a ACW unit - were they of Italian extraction and is this what it depicts, or is this an Italian subject? Apologies for my ignorance on this!

Hi It's an Italian subject it's a italian bersaglieri 1859 from the Italian wars of unifacation, but he would convert to ACW if you wanted to

It made me start reading about the second Italian war of independence and I found some interesting reenactor photos.

They Look great thanks for posting the photo's. it's a war I have a big interest in along with the Franco Prussian War, some great uniforms from That time and I'm sure we will be doing more in the future.
