Hey again folks,

I made a start on this one last night whilst watching telly with a few beers. The piece is called Enchantment and it's from Nocturna in 70mm. I've not done much so far; she's primed with Halfords white and I've done a little work on her leather waistcoat. More to follow, thanks for tuning in :)

Comments and critique are very welcome :)

Cheers for the heads up Mark (y)

I thought this would be a problem so I've done the upper clothing (including the sleeves) in green-turquoise, for now at least. I'm experimenting with a triad colour scheme atm so she has turquoise on top, magenta strides and the details will be in some form of yellow/orange. I'll see how it pans out, for now it is a bit sore on the eyes if you look at her for too long ;)

No progress pics for now but I'll try and get some soon.

Nice start . This figure is on my to do list ,so I will be watching closely .Interesting how you have started with the waistcoat ,I usually start at the top and work my way down.

Cheers
Neil

Thanks Neil (y)

I'm afraid I don't show any consistency when painting or follow a routine (maybe that's my problem). I suppose my view is that it's all gotta be painted anyway so it doesn't really matter where you start. The only habit I have is that I usually leave the eyes till last because it's the area that's my weakest so I delay it as much as possible. Also, in a weird sort of way, I feel painting the eyes brings the subject to life and it feels more appropriate to do this at the end (I'm off now to hug a tree o/)

That's coming nicely Billy, they're what I call Robin Hood colours, nice and muted and subtle (y)(y).
Regards, Gary.

Really nice to see this one coming to life.

Cheers

Thanks guys for the kind comments. She's got a bit more colour in her cheeks now after another session tonight, I'll try and get some pics tomorrow after work :)

Last night's progress. I never done much to be fair, mainly tidying up some rough bits and a bit of edge definition. It's most noticeable on whatever it is she has on her head (hat? bandage? Madonna's bra?)

Hopefully I'll do some more work on the flesh tonight now the base coat is dry :)
