Here is the 'finished' Antietam piece I have been working on for the past 6 weeks. Still a few things here and there to do but for the most part it's done. Painted with mostly Reaper paints and a few Vallejos.

What I was going for is the moment that the Federal Troops started to manuver around the left flank, and thus getting a line of fire down the Sunken Road, turning it into the now famous Bloody Lane.

I have been trying to get better with my camera, but for some reason I just can't get it! If someone has a Nikon D-60 please PM me with some pointers :)

Man, Anders, that is SWEET! You have gotten the crowded look of black powder battlefields down to a "t". The variety of dress and the facial expressions are also superb. Great work and thanks for the excellent photos.

Thanks one and all!

I appreciate all the comments on this piece. I am glad that you like the composition as it is something which I am totally new to (second time after Braving the Storm). I tried to incorporate different things that I've read and been told etc such as higher elevation in the background, different levels of the figures and different poses to lead the viewer into the piece. Still lots to learn but it was a fun piece.

Anders, great sculpting and painting, really appreciate the pics above showing how you put the figures together and the posing and planning of the finished piece. Many thanks
Cheers Ken
