Hi everyone,
Just wanted to prove that I haven't fallen off the face of the earth!
Just been wallowing in a bad slump.
Here's what I've been working on and I'm happy to say that I'm making progress on it.
It's a bust from United Empire Miniatures titled "Royalist Officer, English Civil War"

It was sculpted by the very talented Matt Springer.
I had tried starting this once before, without any success. Decided to dig it out and give it another try.
Also, I got one of those "photo studio in a box" set-ups from my wife for Christmas and these are my first attempts at taking a picture using it. Looks like I have a lot to learn about it. :D
Thanks for looking,
Craig

Civil War Bust

Craig ,
I have got this out of my gray army , its an absolute cracker , but look who sculpted it , the detail on the lace is really fine , I look forward to seeing this thread progress ...might even start mine !!!!!!!!
Looking at the pics is the hat secured as it looks like a slight gap where the hair line meets ...might be pics or my eyes !!!!!!!

Hi guys,
thanks for looking.
Nap....the hat is just held on with blue tack for now. I remember trying to fill this gap with putty when I started it a long time ago. Unless I can get the hat positioned just right, it seems it may still be there :(

Is there anywhere that I can order this bust from other than the United Empire Miniatures website as is seems to undergoing reconstruction and has been for a long time.

Hi guys and thanks for the comments.
I couldn't find any other way to order the bust either. But since my link to UEM was bad, a Google search gave me this one..

http://www.unitedempireminiatures.com/

It lists a phone number and has an email hot link to contact them directly. You might give those a try. I think John is located in the south east area of the US.
Craig

Graig, you're right. I believe John, a transplanted Canuck (therefore, automatically a good guy:)) is based in Marietta, Georgia. I haven't talked to him in awhile but definitely one of the gents of the hobby.
