Looking very good, do you ever use Mars Black, I always thought it was the darkest black you could get.

Cheers Simon

Hi Simon , I've used Mars black, although I think its the highlights that have softened the effect.

Looking good so far.
My opinion on the colours, is that the jacket would be dark indigo and the braids black, however as I believe the dyes used were still natural, I believe. The colours would fade under the south african sun and fairly quickly. I would think the photo is a fair representation.
Whilst looking into the subject I found an article on natural dyed fabrics that were placed in a window display in Libertys, after two weeks the colours had faded dramatically, can't remember where I saw the article though, I'll have a rummage.
I believe Ivory black is the darkest, Mars is a little more grey but probably perfect for this.
Keep up the good work

Many thanks for the information, I'll give the Ivory Black a go.

Hi Malc

Good idea not to go out ...you might blow away

This is looking good , interesting comments ref the uniform colour , yours is looking good so far

Fleshwork looks good ...have you been blending

Are you going to do anything more on the helmet like define the sections ?

Thanks for sharing

Hi Nap
Yes, as to the blending, I was trying something new for me, seemed to work reasonably well.
I have defined detail on the helmet, although I think the lighting has burnt it out. It looks ok in natural light.
