The flag so far......

Hi! The colour is finally done! Those observant ones amongst you will see the flag has mysteriously changed....which it has... because I buggered the first one up with too much additional shading. Less is definitely more! Still, after a lot of swearing I managed to get version 2 to where I am happy with it.

Regards to you all Pete

Hi Pete

I'm impressed with the patience after replacing the flag and more so with the result ...good on you

You should have a look at Rob Lane's Elan13 ...... nice figures , larger scale but there's ensign's as well

Look forward to seeing more on this

Happy benchtime

Great job so far Pete and a small scale to boot. My eyes would have definitely given up the ghost a long time back had I tried such a venture.

Cheers Neal! I'm 48 in a couple of months and have found it a struggle. Can't quite see the figure in crisp focus without glasses on. I think I'll be back to 54mm or 75mm after this little bugger. Regards Pete

Hi there

That flag looks good , as does the sleeves and face , interesting you've not fully painted the figure yet ...is this your preferred way of working ?

Thanks for sharing the updates

Looking forward to seeing more

Hi Nap. Thanks for the kind comments. I only put the flag on early because the way I animated it meant it didn't obscure any of the figure. I normally put on bits as I go so that all areas can get the attention they need without other stuff getting in the way. Plus I suppose that as the flag is such a large part of the figure it made sense to see it finished so that the rest of the painting is consistent with it. That's the theory anyway......! Regards Pete.

Well done Pete, the colour looks really good, superb actually, and to think this is 28mm.
Excellent work all round.
