While at the Tulsa show I met Greg Stewart, owner of Epic Design Custom Wood Bases. I saw some beautifully crafted bases of Cherry, Walnut and Oak. He also had a beautifully done base of Mullbery. Since this was my year for bases I stocked up and came home with mainly bases and few figures.

The bases are all hand rubbed with excellent wood grain. Greg is sure to become an outstanding base supplier when word gets out of his quality. He has a printed price sheet with various sizes in both square and round stock. You can contact Greg at:

I'll have to send Greg an email and ask for an updated price list. The last pic in Guy's post has a small base on top of a larger one. I used that same small one on the Teutonic Grand master in my work bench (kinda hard to see it though).

I bought 4 or so square bases from Greg and they were all top notch. The service was excellent. There was a bit of a snafu on availability and Greg thru in another small base for free.

I only do a 3-4 figures per year but Greg has my business (y)

Greg makes a nice product. I bought a few of his bases in Atlanta and they are top notch. The burl bases in the pictures are intriguing.

These look good, thanks for the photos Guy (y)

Yeah it looks good, I was trying to imagine how I might use it myself.

I echo the comments of Guy and John. The bases are well-crafted and Greg has a wide range of varying type bases to choose from. I must also add that Greg is a super guy and a pleasure to do business with!
