It was great to meet you Roy, and sorry about your little bug venture, I had to laugh when you told me about it :)

I agree though, the hotels leaves a little to be desired, luckily for us, we didnt spend much time in them except in the bars :)

Great pics!
Anders, it was a real pleasure to meet you at last, we were very fortunate you were just a short trip away from Euro this year...hope you enjoyed the whole weekend...as you said, the hotel bars are the best bet..!

Hope all you guys are enjoying the pictures.

All the best..Roy.

I must admit...the unwelcome guests in my bed (and under it) on the fouth floor (and under that too..!!) of a 'Very Reputable' hotel in Folkestone almost spoilt my weekend...

Roy, Don't worry we have those type of establishments in the States too. :) ~Gary

Hello Gary,

well, in Folkestone they seem to have oly this kind of hotel!
I thought "fawlty towers" was a comedy sow, but now I realise it is a reality soap...

But it was a great weekend as ever! A true pleasure to meet so many people, old and new friends, again. I spent almost the entire weekend in the competition room, and still didn't see everything because of talking all the time! :)
And of course the models on show gave enough inspiration for another year of modelling!

Best wishes,

Marijn

By the way Roy,

the name is Phil Stutcinskas, and his model was fantastic indeed. A more than deserved BOS for a truly amazing work of art by one of the most modest modellers I know.

Many people don't seem to know him, but he has made some of the most inspiring dioramas throughout the '90s (his "meine ehre heist treue" was the dio that made me want to build dios...), but since 2002 mainly built single vehicles, topped of with fantastic figures, winning gold at euro year after year. Maybe someone remembers the big german train loc last year? Or the bergepanther the year before?
But this years' model is really special as it really focusses very much on the figures and the atmosphere that surrounds them.

Unawarely, Phil always has been one of my most important teachers, and I now consider him also a great friend. Although being English, he is also a member of our club (KMK, the blueshirts), and often visits our show in Mol, Belgium.

If you read this: congrats again Phil!

Great pics Roy and it was a pleasure speaking to you especially in my ENGLISH

You really cracked me up with all your bugging bugs when you told me

Take Care mate........

Ray ;)

Gary ...many thanks for the picture...the hotel should be using that as it's sign..it would be far more accurate than the one they have...

Marijn, thanks for the spelling correction, Phil has produced some stunning work at euro over the last few years, his work with vehicles is extremely meticulous and a real treat to see.

Ray..it was great to see your smiling face after not being able to come to Folkestone for too long..I hope you enjoyed the busy weekend and we'll meet again soon...and you speak better English than me by the way.. :)

Thanks to everyone for all your kind comments on the pictures..!!

All the best...Roy.
