Anywyay my contribution is that the fish and chip restaurant by the harbour is worth a visit as is the pub opposite which has a restaurant on the floor above....Cheers Huw

Truly a one-man trip advisor... and he's right too..... I've had many a chip and the ocassional fish there myself, yum!
Paul

Papas in the main street serves you fish the size of a baby's arm.The best in town!
The laughter from a group of Middle age men who should know better still rings around this chippie.

When one of our group was asked what size fish he would like he replied "a Doris"

The puzzled sales person asked "a Doris?" He replied a medium.

The laughter went on for a long time. But the joys of been in Folkestone for the Euro weekend.

(Please ask if you are not of a certain age and are scratching your head)

Wahey,
Yahoo,
Yipee,

8 days until I smash the spare coins jar and weigh it all in for kits!

I love that day in the hsbc bank when I create a huge queue of people tut-utting behind me,
instead of being at the back of one grumbling.
Payback x 2 ha haaar

Paul

Can you still cash in halfpenny's and farthings ???:ROFLMAO:
Mick

Hahahahahahahaha

I sincerely hope so...
I worked it out that two jars of farthings and a couple of thrupenny bits, all swapped for decimal coins buys me....

One of each of the latest hinton hunt lassett and greenwood and ball releases, but if Ray lamb has done a new hinchcliffe french officer I'll have a look at the price!

My show tickets arrived yesterday

:):):):):)

Did a stock take of the grey army yesterday. 63 figures & busts then a load of ships, resin vehicles & plastic kits.

My wife asked the question "do you need any more figures"?

OF COURSE I DO!!!!

That's the enemy "time" have an HMS Victory that I'm keen to start sat on my Modeling table. One chap on another site is half way into his with 3 1/2 years behind him. Never get through all the stash.

Think I'll have to buy some kits at Euro to cheer myself up. Lol.

Im just an amature only have 24 in the stash and working on three. My plan at the moment is to get four at Euro, and thats only what I know will be there at the moment so could be a few more.

Mick

No wind up. Its TRUE .Most are my Army of the East, which I will take away with me for the winter to crack on with. and the rest are odds and sods which will get done after.

Only have two on order from Steve Kirtley but I know it won't stop their.

It's that magic combination of seeing exquisitely painted figures in the comp room, parting with lots of beer tokens & friendly chatter to like minded people that leads you to say "Sod it,I'm having it"
