Hi,

It might be a little bit soon but I need to plan things.

I'll be in London in the weekend of Euromilitaire and I would like to see the event (first time).

Can anyone tell me the railway station where to catch the train (and which one), the best destination station in Folkestone.

Thanks.

Cheers,
Paulo

Hi Paulo...it'll be great to see you at Euro...check out the link for some train times...London Charing Cross >>>> Folkestone http://ojp2.nationalrail.co.uk/en/pj/tt

All the best...Roy.

Thanks for the info Roy.
Still, I've a question using the planner it showed me Folkestone West and Central which one is best, for walking the way to the event.
And another question is: the best day to visit is Saturday or Sunday and at what time?

Thanks.

All the best,
Paulo

Hi Paulo...Folkestone Central is the nearest...and leaves you maybe 10 minutes walk from the Leas..here is a link to a map of the stations location..you can see the Leas (where euro-militaire is held) at the bottom of the map...http://www.infotransport.co.uk/trains/station/133

*EDIT* Paulo...I can't get the link to the map to work, so click on the above link and then click on 'Location Map' and it will display the elusive map page...

As for which day is best...well if you want an early look at any new releases, then maybe Saturday...Sunday is just as busy though and you'll be able to see the results of the competition...both days is also a good choice..!!

Hope to see you there...Roy.

Hi Paulo, if you can only make it for part of one day I would suggest the Sunday. I'd aim to get to Folkestone as early as the trains will allow. The advantage over Saturday is that the judging will be completed so you'll be able to see what medals were awarded and what won best of show of course. Also, early on a Sunday the display room will often be the quietest you'll find it, although it can get busier pretty quickly.

I wasn't there last year so I can't recall when the doors open to the public offhand, 10am?

I think I have a map of the area with directions marked from the railway station to the site of the show (it's a very simple route but if you're walking you can take a wrong turn and waste some of the little time you'll be there) if I can find it I'll post it here.

This will be my first time in goin', i've not really bothered in the past.
Is there a good showin' of a lot of figures by all companies, to see and to buy?!

That's a bit variable year to year; there's always something new/newish at the show (some companies premiering stuff specifically at the venue as you might have heard) with some years being stupendous for recent releases. Others are a little slower, so it can be a bit of a crapshoot but if you've never been to a show of this size it's definitely worth a visit and the competition itself almost never fails to impress.
