Feeling Patriotic

Hey All

I've been feeling particularly patriotic lately. Perhaps it has something to do with the endless hours I've spent watching the Olympics.
So proud of our Canadian athletes! On track to another great bundle of medals... Congrats to our Women's Hockey Team for their Gold yesterday and for the Men's Team beating the USA today, putting them in Sunday's Gold medal final against Sweden.

To the Swedes here on the Planet... I apologize in advance for our boys beating your guys for the gold
To our American bretheren I just have to say... Ne ner ne ner neee ner That's two Olympics in a row we have ousted you

P.S. Now that was a Canadian post (apparently the generalisation is that we are too polite and we apologise a lot!).

Beyond the "Big Stage" Canada/US rivalry... Decades of crossborder tounaments as a player, coach and hockey Dad has made me less than apologetic to our Southern neighborours... For that I'm sorry. But not for this...

Apparently I am getting rousted at 6 AM by my wife's friend to go to the pub. There is a big scramble on for special early morning liquor licences....I will be having coffee (not Irish). I used to be a hockey fan but several decades of Leaf failure took care of that.

If you were a Flyers or Blackhawks fan... you'd still be a hockey fan. Mind you, my wife is a die hard Leafs fan and still thinks they have some kind of a chance
