I totally agree about you comments for the Fen show, and also the Figure World North show, great atmosphere lots of new faces and plenty of models to look at and learn from.

Also the modelers were all happy to chat and talk about the hobby and share techniques.

My stand was up near the demo area which were run both days and I must admit I really enjoyed listening too and even being able to watching some of them, this is not something I get to do much usual being at the stand. But I learnt alot.

Inthe end it is the people who attend the shows that make them what they are and I am glad to say both shows are great for that.

Hi all,

I'm one of the organisers of the show and it's good to hear that lots of people enjoyed it. As Rob notes, the show is predominantly fantasy painters because they actually turned up and entered models. If you'd like to see more historical figures, there's a very easy solution: come along and enter them! We're certainly very interested in getting more historical painters to take part and the judges have no bias one way or another - last year, best of show went to Trevor Morgan's flats!

There has been no response from the organisers regading the comments on this thread, so clearly it is not a concern

Or, perhaps more likely, it's because I didn't know this thread existed until earlier today... I always make a point of listening to feedback and doing what I can to improve the show. Since the first show in 2022, we've gone from 100 attendees with 300ish models to 500 attendees with 1000+ models, so I like to think we do a pretty good job of constructively responding to criticism.

Yes, they're mostly fantasy, but I'm sure there's something for everyone in there!
