After the 1751 reforms, these became the 23rd Foot (Royal Welch Fuzileers) It retained the archaic spelling of Welch, instead of Welsh and Fuzileers for Fusiliers; these were engraved on swords carried by officers during the Napoleonic wars. After the 1881 reforms, its official title was The royal Welsh Fusiliers, but Welch continued to be used informally until restored in 1920.
This one is near completion and I thought I had taken some photos at the start of this but cannot find them.
I have the musket to paint as well as other parts of the uniform to finish.
One thing to mention is, I should not have attached the figure to the base without putting the musket in place, It can be done but carefully....
I have my own homemade base of olive wood.
