Figure Painting around Baltimore/DC

I recently (as in two days ago) relocated to the Baltimore/DC area. I was wondering if anyone out there can clue me in to the figure painting scene around here. I’m curious to know what other figure painters or sculptors are nearby, if people know of any annual shows/competitions, and recommendations on local stores for kits, supplies, etc.

There is the DC club NCMSS (National Capitol Model Soldier Society). We meet on the 4th Tuesday (usually) in Annadale VA. Check the website, www.ncmss.org for directions if you're interested. The club also has Painter's Club, also in Annandale, where we meet in a roomy well-lighted room and paint for 4 hrs. Painter's club meets tomorrow (10/16/2010) from 12-4. Again, check the website for directions. We have a yearly show in September. Next year is our 50th Anniversary Show.
