Hi Guys,

Ive started building my first figure in the form of one of the chaps from the Dragon 1:35 6366 U.S Armoured Infantry set and i have a few small seams that require filler and was wondering what brand type of filler would be best for these.

Also what bases do you think will be ok for these smaller figures, as i have lots of figure sets in this scale i dont want them to be over expensive.

Cheers Michael.

I think most of us don't use a filler per se but rather one of the two-part epoxy putties, e.g. MagicSculp, Apoxie Sculpt, A+B, Kneadatite.

You can use one of the fillers commonly used for plastic kits like Squadron Green but epoxies have a lot of advantages for filling since they have a long working time (couple of hours) and you can use them to sculpt in lost detail and add creases etc. at the same time if you need to.

Bases are really a matter of taste and budget. I'd still prefer to mount 1/35 scale figures on a neat wooden base but if you're doing a lot of them the cost could really mount up, unless you make them yourself. There are flat, black plastic bases made in various sizes (both square and round) that are intended for fantasy minis and these could work for a figure this small.

As Einion says I use Milliput for all my filling needs. As for bases, just use the search box for "bases" and you'll get several supliers.
Carl.

Thanks guys,

I have some Miliput in various grades i will give it a go tonight.

I have a Games workshop store close by i will take a look at bases also.

Thanks BB
