Hi all,

I finished this figure almost two months ago, but did not take pictures till now.

It is a figure of slovene player Milenko Acimovic in national kit.

Any criticism or other comments welcome

Regards,

Luka

Awesome Luka!! I'm happy to see you finished it. A couple of questions - what did you use for the grass, and how did you paint the letters/numbers (freehand)?

Again, great job. I really like this figure.

Hi all,

Thank you very much for your comments!

Dave I am glad you like it, even though it is an other kind of football :)

Joe, the ball was actually a lot less work than I thought it would be. The trickiest part was getting the putty as round as possible.
Painting was a lot easier than it looks, it took me about an hour to do, the trick is to divide the ball in equal segments before you start the design (I did it in great hurry, a day before a show I attended).

Francesca, thanks for your comments, for the grass I have used ordinary static grass, painted it with acrylics and sprayed the white line.
All letters/numbers and logos are freehand. I should have spent a little more time on the letters on the back, they seem a little washed out in the photos.
The trickiest were the Robbe di Kappa logos, there are seven of them on the figure and they all had to match, a lot of retouching...

Best wishes,

Luka

Luka: I thought that was intentional... like perhaps his jersey was very worn. Regardless it doesn't detract from the figure in my opinion!

Thanks Jim, btw that is one cool guy you have there on your avatar

Francesca, I wish I could say it was. The problem is that I have done the letters first and than the number, that, because of its size, took a lot more time/retouching and that is why the white is much stronger on the number.
I should have painted the letters over one more time, but did not think it was necessary at the time as the effect is not so obvious in person as on camera.
A lesson learned anyway and that is what counts :) .

Take care,

Luka
