Howdy all,

I've finished an early Andrea kit of a 54mm Norman Knight, circa 1180. The all metal figure is finished in Andrea and Vallejo acrylics, although the helmet and spear point are the polished metal of the kit. Most of my medieval subjects are somewhat muted, so I opted to brighten this one up a bit. The ground cover is from my yard and Michaels.

I'm now working on Pegaso's 75mm Marcomannic Warrior.

Questions/comments are welcome.

Cheers,

Glen

Glen,
very nicely done. Are you considering a trip to Atlanta this year, or will I have to wait til Tulsa to see this one in person? Keep up the good work!

Thank you all... The shield design is just a stylized cross; no historical accuracy that I know of. The surcoat is Andrea's Dark Orange and Prussian Blue. The shield is Andrea's Napoleonic Orange and Basic Blue. I figured that the pigments used on cloth dyes might be a bit different than the pigments used in shield paint., so I opted for a slight contrast.

I won't be making it to Atlanta, Jay. Tulsa is my limit for out-of-state shows. My other hobby is a bit more expensive than figure painting (see my avatar) and I just bought a new (old) one. The garage is getting crowded. I will be going to Houston, San Antonio, and Austin to blow out some a/c and armor kits that I will never build. See you at one of those maybe...?

Cheers,

Glen
