Hi guys! I'm a long time observer of the forum, but I never interacted here before.
After a while working as a digital sculptor, I thought it was about time to make my registration.
So, to start posting here, I chose to upload a private comission that I finished a few months ago. All the art direction and elements' appearence were made by the client. Sculpted in Zbrush and rendered in Blender.
Cheers!

Interesting subject and the results show you are very good at bringing 3D to life.

The client seems to have chosen some simplified characteristics for what appears to be the summer lightweight tunic M/36? Am guessing that is a result of a well worn uniform but do wonder why the entire deletion with the epaulets? Well okay that is how they wanted it and are happy. The jacket cuffs and boot tops look a bit odd as they have an abrupt tapered end/opening.

All the best and look forward to seeing more of your creations.

German gas mask with container, water bottle and bedroll were never issued in Finnish Army soldiers gear.

Hey guys! Thank you very much for stopping by and giving feedback.
This project was very interesting for me, because it's different from all the sculptures I did in the last couple of years.
There was an old photograph that was used as main reference, but I'm not sure if I can share it. In any case, all the additions were asked by the client;
It wasn't made for commercial purposes; the idea behind it was to create a subject to use in a painting workshop. Perhaps all the elements were adjusted in a way that meets the subjects of the workshop.

MacCoy, I wasn't aware of this. In this particular case, I just did as I was asked. No intention in distorting the image of the Finnish Soldiers, though.

Looks very good, but his feet, boots seem a little small..

Thank you very much! I was asked to change the boots' size twice (before it was bigger). I must admit that I've spent so much time on this piece that I can't see this area as small; so it's nice to hear from fresh eyes (y)

As I said before, this one was a bit different than what I've been sculpting lately. You guys can see more samples of my work here: https://www.artstation.com/lucasbezerra .
But I must say I enjoyed sculpting this one, regardless of its issues and lack os historical accuracy. I'm thinking about sculpting a few masters pieces to sell, and I'll make sure that the representation is 100% accurate ;) Any other feedback is very welcome. I'm always gathering comments to try to improve!
Cheers

Thank you, Nap! Maybe I'll revisit this one as a personal project and all the info you gave + the feedback on this thread will be really useful! (y)
