I would think any business in this climate and competitive nature would try their level best to help, not annoy customers. There certainly are honest mistakes and issues, but a policy like that seems counterproductive.
There is a cost of doing business, and processing an order is part of it. Do they charge to answer the phone?
 
Here's a little update.
As per the terms and conditions that you entered in to when you made the purchase, you are not entitled to a full refund. We have therefore refunded you £4.75 back to your card. We are fully aware of the Distance Selling Regulations and comply with them fully. If the OFT or Visa need to contact us about this matter they will do so via the established communication channels and we will deal with them accordingly. I won’t be responding to you directly again on this matter.

Cheeky buggers I shan't be using them that's for sure. As has been said already in this climate being rude to a customer is business suicide by degrees
 
Everything has now being resolved.
So I can highly recommend this company, great customer service, and bends over backwards to help his customers.

Carl, I'm glad to see you eventually had a good outcome.
But it just goes to show that many of us who have never had experience with certain dealers and look to get advice from others or warn others on the forum may not necessarily be out to simply attack certain individuals.
In other words if the people operating the company you've just mentioned had some close friends/loyal customers on here, you would have been tarred & feathered and gibbeted by now and made to feel like you were the type of person to use oiled up kittens as bait for Black Marlin.
I know you haven't attacked anyone yourself Carl, but some on here have attacked individuals who have raised concerns about companies they've dealt with.
Anyone should be able to come on here and voice any concerns they have about any producer or supplier and ask advice from other members without being forced to leave this forum a little battered & bruised.
Hopefully anyone can have a satisfactory outcome like yours.
