the flat is a 70mm or so, oils over acrylic. The process is totally different from round that it requires a rethink to painting. But it has been very cool so far...
I'm not sure who this represents , maybe that's a good thing Ignorance is Bliss.

Sound start on a very well engraved flat. Looking forward to seeing how this figure progresses.

Hi Chris, this is coming on nicely, obviously late 15th century but I couldn't tell you who. Since this is your first try at flats, i hope you don't mind me making a suggestion,
mark an arrow on the background either top left or top right as a constant reminder of where the light is coming from and where to put the shadows. Hope this helps?
