It's very exciting to see this in the shops now:

A really nice article over 5 pages with a number of photographs.

Although I didn't do a lot (praise has to go to Nino for the sculpts, Gunther for the box art, Steve Readdie for helping construct the motorbike and Carlos for the painting of the diorama), I'm still very proud.

However, vanity got the better of me, and I did buy all 5 copies from the WH Smiths at Fosse Park in Leicester last night.

I think I'm right in thinking that its the first time Military Illustrated Modeller have featured anything other than an AFV on the front cover, so I'm really grateful to Marcus and the team for their support.

Right, the challenge for me is to beat that!

Very well done, lovely figures and well deserved, you are right to be very proud.

I have a few of your figures and look forward to painting them
Well done again
Very best wishes

I hope the ww1 Royal Marines are still planned

I had a look in Smiths today

As I'd expect from you Carl, had a look but didn't buy, its not a library you know :D:D:D

Thanks everyone, but I'm the weakest link in the chain and can't take any credit, its all Carlos' work

The 2013 release schedule is:

April (BMSS Annual Show, London)
Captain and Sergeant, Royal Welsh Fusiliers

July (Figureworld)
Sergeant, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, Bellewaerde Ridge 1915 and Private, 11th Bn Australian Imperial Force, ANZAC Bay 1915

September (Euro Militaire)
To be confirmed (which means I know, but am not going to say)

No Royal's in 2013, but next year I plan on covering the Gallipoli campaign in detail and I'd like to produce a Marine in this theatre.

I note that "Tommy's War" is also featured in the latest edition of Toy Soldier Collector magazine.
Very well deserved imho, and although it's not really my era (yet), I do look forward to seeing future releases in this wonderful range.
