first major conversion?

Well here it goes my first major conversion with Airfix us marine with a bar how should start something like this?
 
Hi McSneed. Hope you are well. The place to start is with the changes you want. Cut and reposition arms or legs, turn the torso, whatever you choose. Once you have the changes accomplished and everything smoothed out, add the equipment and get after the brushes. The key is to know what you want the figure changed to from the way it comes. Airfix is a good start point, styrene being a dream to work with. 'Luck!!!
 
I really don't like working with styrene but prefer resin. However, I have found that using a jeweler's saw is ideal for cutting either material. The problem with styrene is it melts and drilling holes with a Dremel is just no good as the bit gets clogged immediately. So finger drills are good for that.

i have the jewelier's saw but not the figure drills all i have the hand hald drill with plenty of drill bits but no vise so i can use the saw . If anyone can tell me where i can buy a small drafting table that is all i need right?
