Thanks everyone, very happy you all like this effort as it is a new venture. There's one aspect of these flats I can sure appreciate and that is the cost! I think I paid around $18 for this one and that's a far cry from what you have to shell out for a full mounted figure in a similar scale. So, improving my painting skills AND saving money....that's a win-win.
 
If that's your first,I wonder what your 10th or 30th is going to look like.Simply beautiful!

Thanks so much guys, you've all been very encouraging. I don't see how I can refuse to do another one now. I'd like to do some Napoleonic flats, but not in too small a scale. 54mm would be about as small as my old eyes could see. Any suggestions?
 
Lovely work great choice for a first flat figure too.

I find the only 'problem' with many flats is deciding
which side to paint when you can't show both.
