Those of you who know me will also know I'm a mate of Rons. You'll also know that one of my small pleasures in life is to take the rip out of him (and others)
The only reason I can do this without offence or indeed putting myself at risk ;) is the fact that Ron is a thoroughly decent guy who joins into the spirit of the planetFigure ethos.
Anything he has done has been with the best intentions and certainly not to 'double cross' or cause offence.
He's explained what happened and apologised for the confusion privately and publicly ....... Trex, life is way too short ...... this is an online community of decent, funny and above all honest members and Ron is a well respected and active contributor to the success of the forum.

You guys know Ron personally but I don't, so I only judged by the facts.
To be honest, by reading his posts here at PF until now I also thought Ron was a great guy.
But I can't understand his behavior on this case. I asked him politely to tell me the total price including postage. After some days he replied the total price is "X".
I asked him to verify his paypal account to send him the money, and then suddenly he said he thought that I wouldn't accept the total price and sold it to somebody else while I was waiting for his reply.
Do you think this is OK? Wouldn't you be frustrated too if you were in my place? The guy might be your buddy, but try to think objectively for a moment.
And the thing that really pissed me and made me bring it here, was ignoring my emails and PMs and not giving any explanation.
He could have replied giving an explanation and everything would be OK.
Anyway, it seems Ron has a fan club here so, since there's no point, I'll stop banging my drum (or digging my hole) in vain.

To get something good out of this in the end, as a "lesson learned" we could discuss if some rules should be established at the "Market & Commissions" section.
What do you think?

It would be nice if we get some mature and productive comments.

Well I'd be really cranky too if my arms we so small I couldn't scratch my arse or  :shy:my thingy.

But seriously though it has occurred to me before that the practice of simply posting "PM sent" doesn't seem to make any sense at all.
If you've posted something in the market section you'll be aware if someone has sent you a PM without anyone having to post that they've sent you one.
Surely the posts should read for the benefit of all members..."PM sent regarding such and such figure"
Then other members know who's interested in what and when.
You can then word your PM in such a way as to say if you don't sell the such and such figure I'd like second go at it please.

I reckon "PM sent regarding whichever figure you're interested in", is the way to go........cheers.

Mr Trex
Here is what I am prepared to do.

I will purchase another one of these figures from SK miniatures and if you send me your Address I will post it to you without payment and when you receive it you can then send me the £20.00 plus postage if you please and if you don't well I won't worry about it ,

Ronald Tamburrini

Nice offer Ron but you're missing the point. As others said it's only a figure, I can live without it. The problem was all about the attitude, not about the figure.

Surely the posts should read for the benefit of all members..."PM sent regarding such and such figure"
Mark S, it's a good proposal to avoid misunderstandings in the future.

Actually I agree with you. I have no dog in the fight and know neither of you personally (or digitally), but on other boards that I frequent, accepting an offer for an item, then selling it to someone else, regardless of reason, is considered welching and gets people banned. I'm not sure why anyone would agree to sell a kit to someone, then sell it to some else because they think the postage is too high, even though the original buyer has agreed to buy it at that price. Since the buyer in this case had already agreed to send the $$$ with postage, he should have gotten the figs. People make mistakes yes, but lets call it what it is (was). And yes, obviously people have friends and fan clubs and will be defended regardless if they were in the wrong, and you will be called out for making your case.
