You may take our freedom, but you'll never buy our Pegaso's
It would be nice if we get some mature and productive comments.
Mark S, it's a good proposal to avoid misunderstandings in the future.Surely the posts should read for the benefit of all members..."PM sent regarding such and such figure"
Actually I agree with you. I have no dog in the fight and know neither of you personally (or digitally), but on other boards that I frequent, accepting an offer for an item, then selling it to someone else, regardless of reason, is considered welching and gets people banned. I'm not sure why anyone would agree to sell a kit to someone, then sell it to some else because they think the postage is too high, even though the original buyer has agreed to buy it at that price. Since the buyer in this case had already agreed to send the $$$ with postage, he should have gotten the figs. People make mistakes yes, but lets call it what it is (was). And yes, obviously people have friends and fan clubs and will be defended regardless if they were in the wrong, and you will be called out for making your case. You guys know Ron personally but I don't, so I only judged by the facts.
To be honest, by reading his posts here at PF until now I also thought Ron was a great guy.
But I can't understand his behavior on this case. I asked him politely to tell me the total price including postage. After some days he replied the total price is "X".
I asked him to verify his paypal account to send him the money, and then suddenly he said he thought that I wouldn't accept the total price and sold it to somebody else while I was waiting for his reply.
Do you think this is OK? Wouldn't you be frustrated too if you were in my place? The guy might be your buddy, but try to think objectively for a moment.
And the thing that really pissed me and made me bring it here, was ignoring my emails and PMs and not giving any explanation.
He could have replied giving an explanation and everything would be OK.
Anyway, it seems Ron has a fan club here so, since there's no point, I'll stop banging my drum (or digging my hole) in vain.
