French Foreign Legionnaire, 1920's North Africa

[MacCoy]

Andrea 54mm white metal figure, painted with Andrea, Citadel and Vallejo acrylics, base for the coat and trousers with Tamiya acrylics using an airbrush. Wooden base is from Scale75.

Andreas original title is Beau Geste after the 1939 movie starring Gary Cooper, i painted this as regular Legionnaire because in the movie Cooper has Berthier rifle instead the Lebel that the figure has.

A figure that I have always admired and wanted to add to my grey army! MacCoy, you have done an excellent job painting the Andrea figure! Everything about it is spot on and well done. Have saved this as my screen saver for the next few days! Really appreciated you posting your work! Loved the old movie with Gary Cooper as well as the remake with Guy Stockwell, Doug McClure, Tellie Savalas and Leslie Neilsen.
