Richard Baxter
A Fixture
Coming along well there. Just one minor point, the figure doesn't seem to have spurs, rather strange for a cavalryman. Maybe just the picture and camera angle. Do these come as separate parts?
Hi Richard, yes there are spurs as separate pieces but I’ve not added them yet so I don’t damage them.Coming along well there. Just one minor point, the figure doesn't seem to have spurs, rather strange for a cavalryman. Maybe just the picture and camera angle. Do these come as separate parts?
Thanks Gordon, it’s a super piece.Nice work on this Neal.

Thanks Bob. Glad I went with this colour scheme.Well, he is looking fine and dandy, excellent painting Neal.
Hi Richard, no problem. I put the mix up earlier in the thread, basically Titanium white, Ivory Black, French Ultramarine Blue and some Cobalt Violet Hue. Hope this is of use.Would you be willing to share your colour mix for the grey, it's always a bit of an elusive shade?
Thanks Nap. I was going to add the War Dept arrow head on the canteen but the paint was still wet when I took the photo so will wait till it’s dry. I’m pretty happy with the shako cover although I might dirty it up a little.Neal
Well you've certainly "moved this on a bit"
It works really well with the uniform against the red ...very impressive stuff
Perhaps add some lettering on the waterbottle ?
Are you going to push the shako any further ?
