It always fascinate's me when a model comes together.
looking forward to the finish.

I have a week left of this leave Ralph and I'm resisting the temptation to bring this project to a close before I go back to work. I don't want to rush it and not do it properly and there are the rifle, trumpet and trumpet cords to paint yet so quite a bit to go.

Looking great roger. Don't know how I fell so far behind this.

Did you base the pants in acrylics before you applied the Devil's oils? And if so what colour did you come up with? I know it's a dark grey but I'm curious as to how you approached it.

I love Ian's Prussian war figs until it comes time to paint all that damn equipment they dragged around.

Yes please, finish this before you shove off again.

Colin

You Might Need a rest roger after this one:sleep: you still have some way to go with the trumpet and the cord tassels and Rifle. it's a big project hours of fun.I know Gothic Geek ( Mark) had fun with it:hungover:. I have both the Drummer and this one in the cabinet and they look great together if anyone is brave enough to take that paint job on with all the collar and cuff work to do you do get a lovely little vignette.

Looking forward to seeing him finished great job so far.

Thanks very much Colin. The trousers were base coated with Andrea Navy Blue acrylic before getting the oil treatment.
You're right there is an awful lot to paint on this figure, that's why I'm doubtful I'll get it finished before it's time to go again.

Cheers Ian. It's actually very deceptive how much work there is to do on this chap. I'm certainly getting my money's worth!

Cheers Ian. I've extended the groundwork out to the edge of the base this afternoon and I was going to prime the Chassepot but it's chucking it down and I'm not allowed to spray in the house, don't know what the problem is, it doesn't smell that bad and the overspray wasn't too bad either. :playful:
