Cheers Bob....it's a challenge! I think your 4 month completion prediction was a bit out too.....hope you had a good Xmas. Regards Pete
Thanks Pete, yep Christmas came and went fairly quiet. I have tried to paint this scale before but failed so hard off to you.
Happy new year to you.
Regards Bob

Afternoon all. At long last I can present to you for your dilectation the first figure finished...I tell myself it took so long because of all the gold work! Hopefully the other ranks will be a bit quicker.
All comments welcome. Regards Pete 20250303_115822.jpg20250303_115831.jpg20250303_115851.jpg20250303_115903.jpg

I’m attempting to create a diorama using Blackpowder’s 28mm Colonial Militiamen, painted in the same manner of 54mm. Not for wargaming but for display. Having a good time, even with 65 year old eyes, but I can see you’ve got this scale down to a science!

Wow Pete, fantastic painting and I admire your skill in painting these. I would have had a swear box filled up within a week.
Well done mate.
Thanks a lot Bob...I did swear quite a lot actually ...especially when I knocked the sword arm and the scabbard off on two separate occasions! Looking forward to getting back to 75mm I think. Take care. Regards Pete

Work started on the trumpeter, and a few very fiddly alterations have been the first task today. My sources suggest that trumpeters wore gauntlets in full dress...so milliput cuffs have been added to the gloves. I've also bushed out the bell of the trumpet (it was moulded solid), added a trumpeter banner fro the Victrix Guard Lancer's set and a couple of suitably cut down tassels from my Historex spares box. Phew! Onto the paint.....Regards Pete
